How Good are you in Choosing Motorcycle Helmets?
By: Maricon Williams
The most controversial motorcycle apparel is the helmet. Perhaps, everyone is familiar why it is controversial. To reiterate, a lot of riders are not in favor of wearing the same – that makes it very controversial compared to the rest of motorcycle apparel. Nevertheless, as for me, I will never compromise my safety and very life by not wearing a helmet.
Join me and rate yourself on how well you know motorcycle helmets and in choosing the best of its kind…
There are different kinds of motorcycle helmet. Full face helmets are identifiable because of their protection around the chin thus, giving maximum protection. However, they can get humid and vaporous. Open face or three quarter motorcycle helmet, on the other hand, protects the side of the face and the ears. Often, its visors are detachable. The drawback is that it offers no protection for the chin. Another kind is the hybrid helmet. This helmet can be opened on the chin part. Moreover, it is advantageous to those who wear glasses. Motocross helmet varies from the rest of the helmets because it includes a dirt cap. In addition, wearing of goggles can be done. Finally, we have shorty or half helmet, this is the simplest form of helmet. It offers no side and chin protection. It comes in flamboyant colors and design that will suit well with a cruiser or custom bike.
Aside from protection, one thing that you must also consider in purchasing your helmet is comfort. Helmet must make you feel safe yet comfy. You can have the fiberglas shell helmet if you want your helmet to be high-impact resistant and durable. However, you can have a polycarbonate shell helmet if you want light and study helmet. Safety and comfort liners can also be resorted to in order to have a cooler ride. Liners absorb perspiration so that the rider will not feel drenched.
To be cool and relaxing, proper ventilation is indispensable. Rider can, in his discretion, open and close the ventilation system. Opening it will enable the air to leave the helmet. Another factor that can contribute to comfort is the ergonomically formed linings. Aside from that, built-in sunshade or a pair of sunglasses can block the blinding rays of the sun. Visors must also be optically correct and will not be an obstacle to your eyes. If there are scratches, you can use polish cleaner and scratch remover to do away with them.
Use these ideas in purchasing your dream motorcycle helmet. Also bear in mind to choose light helmet to have a comfortable ride. Buy only those that are tested and proven of high-quality and efficiency so as not to waste your resources.
After all these details, do you think you’re good enough to choose the best helmet for you?

quickly this summer. There are always reasons if you are willing to dig hard
enough. Now, if this is true, the question plaguing my mind is: where does all

Protect Your Automotive Investment with a C...
You’ve just purchased your dream car. After many months (or
even years) of saving, you are now driving home from the car dealership and
you suddenly realize, “How am I going to protect my new investment”. If
you don’t have the luxury of keeping your car inside of a garage, a car
cover will help protect your automobile, both the exterior and interior of
your vehicle. Even if you do keep your car in a garage, but don’t drive it
very often, a car cover is still quite beneficial. It will keep dust particles
from sticking to you vehicle and potentially damaging your car’s paint job.
